What is the best monitor to get for professional graphic/ web design?
What is the best monitor to get if you are working in graphics/graphic/web design? The best in resolution, dpi, color and etc? Cost not an issue, but want best quality.

CRTs are still tops for color. Mitsubishi Diamondtron, NEC, and LaCie (if you can find one used) are the best I’ve ever used.

Get a large LCD, really big one. Something like a 22" at 1680×1050 or 1600×1200 resolution at least. 24" monitors are the largest cost efficient models available. you can get up to 30" with 2560×1600 resolution i think.
DPI and color are usually not an issue these days. On LCD monitors above 20" they’re usually acceptable.
If you have a decent graphics card, you can even use multiple monitors, which is the best, if cost is not an issue like you say.
What are you asking for though, brand or model? I’m using a viewsonic vx2255 22" LCD. It’s quite good. The main thing you want is screen size and resolution. When I use edit media (for hobbies only) I always find myself wishing I had two monitors or more screen space.
