Anyone know a free graphic design software that doesn’t need to be downloaded?
I am teaching a Web design class, and I would like to teach some graphic design. I usually use Fireworks, but my lab doesn’t have it. I know there are programs like The GImp and Blender, but I don’t have the administrative access to download and install. Any one know a decent online one that we can use?
Dont go for html based graphic design software, not a good idea.
What you need to do is download the Gimp and burn the setup.exe file to a CD.
Then let all of the students install the program from that disk.

I think that ^ is the best idea.
If you don’t have admin access to do that, all windows come with PAINT. I know its really basic, but its better than nothing.

You may be able to do some interesting stuff on Picnik, but really, image editing is far too processor-intensive for it to be practical to run over the internet.
